Our state has pretty much been blasted by high winds from the remnants of Hurricane Ike. We lost power for about 6 hours on Sunday, but luckily have come away pretty unscathed. Most people were not that lucky and my brother and his family still do not have power and had 2 trees fall and do damage to their house.
Meredith had a hard time with the concept of the power being out and kept trying to turn on the lights. She must have thought the use of flashlights to go to the bathroom and the lantern on the table was a fun new game called camping out.
Meredith also had a few funnies this week:
· We overheard her singing on Sunday “Jesus loves me this I know. For Ohio tells me so.”
· Meredith’s Aunt Sis was in town and Meredith told her that she had hazel eyes. Aunt Sis replied, “Witch hazel?” Meredith said, “Both.”
