Remembering

Remembering 9/11  10 years ago--

Meeting with a student and while grabbing  something off the printer, my boss told me a plane had hit the World Trade Center.

Trying to get on the Internet for information, and it was completely froze

Talking to my sister on the phone at work for more info, and making plans to meet at  our parents that night 

Leaving work early and hearing Tony Blair's address on the radio

Getting home and seeing the images for the first time, and being frozen with disbelief

Talking to my roommate Jenny, and trying to make sense of things

The odd silence of the air that night as our apartment by the airport was strangely quiet

The feelings of disbelief, sorrow and anger

The united feeling of our country

Going to church to pray

Frank and I were dating, but not yet engaged, with plans to fly to Vegas on 9/12

America's best heroes- who died, fight, and protect us- thank you
