My darling girl is growing like a weed! I typically don’t buy clothes during the ‘back
to school’ shopping days, because she has consistently had a growth spurt in
late September/early October each year.
I still have clothes from last year, but pretty much for the past 2
weeks we have found something that doesn’t fit each day- t-shirts from the summer,
pants from last year, and shirts from last year. Last Sunday I had Meredith get shoes for
church, and no shoes fit. Even little
ballet flats we bought a month ago are now too small. She was down to just tennis shoes. I should have known when she was eating two
big waffles and applesauce each morning for breakfast! We spent part of the weekend stocking back
up.
We also spent last weekend joining our local Oktoberfest with
my parents. I am first generation
German, so it’s something that I want to share with Meredith. She had a great time. Since she tends to like to observe things
first before participating, she wouldn’t polka with me, but said maybe next
year.
