This past weekend I went on my 6th Annual Girls Weekend. A group of 5 of us from college get together every year over MLK weekend. We typically end up in one of the state parks in a cabin or in a lodge. The weekend basically consists of catching up and it is so nice to have those group conversations that we haven't had since, well, since we moved out of the dorms I suppose!
Now that some of us are mothers it is nice to have a little get away where we can sleep in and let the dads be in charge for the weekend, although the first year Meredith was born she went along for the fun at 6 weeks old and all of the other babies have joined us that first year as well. This year baby Ethan joined us and we were unfortunately down one because of family obligations.
I am so lucky to have this group of friends. We have had so much fun together over the years and we know a lot about each other. They are caring, supportive and honest and we all look forward to this weekend each year!
