February was so long that it lasted until March

February seemed to have lingered on and not just because it had 29 days this year. As Dar Williams so cleverly sings, “and February was so long that it lasted until March”. Our area of the country has had some consistent snowfall for the past 3 weeks. Every Tuesday night the squall or front moves through and drops 1-3 inches. Just enough to cancel school and make the commute long and slippery. Luckily today it is around 63 degrees, windy, but we are able to be outside and remember what the grass and trees look like when they aren't covered in a snowy white!

We have managed to have several events to keep us busy. A few weekends ago we ventured to 2 birthday parties in the same weekend- my nephew Joseph who turned 6 and my niece Amber who turned 1.

We also ventured to Meredith’s first live show, Disney Princesses on Ice. Overall I would say that she liked it, although the first 20 minutes or so she kept asking to go home. After the fireworks and some of the villains had cleared the ice she seemed to enjoy it. The princesses were out in full force- Ariel, Belle, Mulan, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White. If you ask Meredith what her favorite part was—Goofy, Mickey and Minnie!
