It's always been interesting to me what kids name their dolls or imaginary friends. Meredith's doll naming started off pretty normal naming dolls after kids or people she knows- Maddie, Jack, Jodi, Alexa- and has gotten more interesting with time- Baby Oatmeal, Waggi. This Christmas she received a 25th anniversary Cabbage Patch. The are so cute and really remind me of the ones I received as a kid.

The doll came with the name Elise Laverne which Meredith has kept the Elise part, but she added the last name. I would venture to say that with the caveat that yes, she is my daughter, it is the most clever doll name I have heard. Elise's full name is Elise Navidad.
