What happens if you do not...

Meredith has a new game. It is called “What happens if you do not….” It goes something like this:

Meredith: “Mommy! What happens if you do not have any eyes?”
Me: “Then you cannot see.”

Meredith: “What happens if you do not have any hair?”
Me: “Then you would be bald.”

Meredith: “What happens if you do not have any elbows?”
Me: “Then you cannot bend your arms.”

Meredith: “What happens if you do not have any legs?”
Me: “You would get fake legs like Pap.”

Meredith: “What happens if you do not have any fingers?”
Me: “Then you would learn to use your toes better or you would get fake fingers.”

As you will see, my answers are pretty basic. I’m not sure what she is looking for in her questions, but I try to answer them as best as I can. Sometimes I get saucy because the game is endless.

Meredith: “What happens if you do not have a mouth?”
Me: “Then you wouldn’t be able to ask so many questions.”
