This week we celebrated Franksgiving- Frank’s birthday. Meredith and I are both thankful to have such a great father and husband! I tried to get him to celebrate with turkey and all the trimmings, but he’s not a huge turkey fan, so we just did the cake and ice cream thing. When I asked what kind of cake Frank wanted Meredith chimed in with, “Do you want Spiderman? Batman? Dora?” Her little mind went right to what character cake do you want, not what flavor and from which bakery. She was insistent that Daddy have a Batman cake, so he did have a Batman candle.
Meredith’s had a few other funny snippets lately. First, she insists that she will “be on stage” someday. She does love music, dancing and musicals, so we’ll see! I wonder how I would be as a stage mom…
She also was watching one of the musicals and said, “I want a skirt like that so I can be half naked too.” The girl in the movie (yes, OK, we were watching High School Musical) was not that scandalously clad, but with all of our winter weather seeing someone without pants or tights on made her think they were half naked.
