Our summer is wrapping up, and swim lessons and tennis
lessons wrapped up before we headed on vacation. We went back to the Outer Banks, NC. Can you tell our family maybe, sorta likes it
there?
As usually, there was lots of sand, swimming, and sun. Meredith was all about the pool and putting
her new swimming skills to use.
We only had 1 rainy day where we headed to the NC Aquarium. It was fun.
Meredith loved the sea turtle rescue area where you can take a plastic
sea turtle around and diagnose, fix, and send it back to the wild.

One night of the trip we all cleaned up and got dressed for
pictures on the beach. As we were coordinating
the various picture combinations- 3 girls together, 3 girls with their
grandparents, couples, etc., my dad snuck off and Frank came up and surprised
me. We renewed our vows on the
beach! On the 24th we’ll be
married for 10 years, so I finally got the beach wedding I always wanted. He did good.
After our return from the beach, Frank and I went the
following weekend on an anniversary trip just the two of us. It’s the first time we’ve done that since
Meredith was born! We journeyed to
Niagara Falls and had a great weekend.
The falls are beautiful and amazing, we had some great food, and relaxed
as Frank and Kristen for a bit, instead of Dad and Mom.
