Lame

Frank keeps telling me the blog is sad.  Sorry blog.  Sorry you're sad.  Will this post make you feel better?

Recent happenings in our household:

We lost Frank's father in early December.  He was 83 and a fighter- battled diabetes, double amputee, on dialysis for 9 years.  He died with his faithful wife of 59 years and his 5 children surrounding him. It made the holiday season a little rough, but was also nice to know there were gifts from him for all to open, and we got a major holiday out of the way right away.  His mom is hanging in there and seems to be doing well.  Much of the family is off to Vegas for a week here soon, which was in the works months ago.

Thanksgiving 2014
Christmas and New Years were good.  We had nice gatherings with family and nice time just the 3 of us too.

Christmas 2014 Yanchaks
Meredith participated in the Christmas Program at church again, this year with a speaking part.  She did great!

And we once again made gingerbread houses with friends.

We brought in 2015 ready for a new year and new adventure.  Activities started back up again- Meredith started piano lessons, finally after getting the piano last year, and so far likes them. Basketball started and softball clinics.

I went on my annual Girls Weekend in January and during that time, there was a little incident. Meredith went to get the newspaper off the driveway, slipped, fell, and broke her arm.

She's been such a trooper through the whole thing.  She's currently in a sling for one more week, then should be all healed.  It made for an early end to basketball and softball, but we are ready for spring softball season to begin!
