This past weekend we went to Frank’s hometown for a visit with the family. Meredith had such a fun time with all of her grandparents, aunts and uncles and especially her cousins. On Frank’s side of the family the grandchildren consist of 3 boys and 3 girls, with Meredith in the perfect spot right dab in the middle. Right now she is tagging along with the boys, but soon she will be the ring leader of the girls!

Here’s Meredith and her 2 big boy cousins, Joseph and Thomas, who really love her and play so nicely with her.

I decided to take Meredith to the zoo on Monday. We had a good time in our Zoo Unplugged day. The electricity was out, so many of the buildings were closed. We still found plenty to do, and they brought some of the animals out onto the zoo grounds for people to touch. Meredith was in line to touch a lizard and a snake. She was excited to touch them, but she put one little finger on that lizard and she was “all done”.

Today we ventured to the pool. We have a wonderful pool by us with zero depth entry and a playground in the water. The pool is always clean and has reasonable priced, wonderful concessions. We have been venturing there almost once a week!
In other news, I accepted a new position where I work. Currently I am event planning, but I am heading back to working with international students, which is something that I had done for several years. I am excited for the change and that this position still allows me to only work 3 days per week. My first day back is August 9, so this week will be busy trying to wrap up things in my current position.
