I typically send updates on Meredith periodically by email, whether people like it or not! I thought I would set up this blog and see if it is more effective and fun, or more of a pain to keep up. This way you can all keep running tabs on my adorable daughter, which I know that you are dying each day for an update. I am new at the blogging thing, so the site features etc. will hopefully develop with time.
The latest Meredith update is that she has 2 new friends- Maddie and Jack. Maddie and Jack are baby dolls that Meredith has had, loved, patted, fed and even burped (yes, with her providing the sound effects to boot). I never thought to ask her the names of the babies and simply referred to them as baby. Yes, I realize, very original. Maddie has been making more frequent trips an appearances with us, including riding in the car. Meredith is still hot and cold about the car seat at times, and I thought "Baby" would be a good example of how nicely she sits buckled in her seat. Upon "Baby's" second car trip, Meredith said, "Mama buckle baby Maddie." There you go. To clarify later I asked her baby's name and it was official- Maddie.
I am not sure where this name came from. Maybe a baby in her class at day care? Maybe a morph of her own name? Although she doesn't pronounce Meredith like that so it seems to be something seperate and different. Baby Jack is most certainly a reference to Jack's Big Music Show, which is a favorite.
