The “nake” and the “butterby”

Meredith has become quite fond of a bendable stuffed snake (aka “nake”) toy she got in a happy meal recently. Nake has to come with us now when we play outside. He’s sort of subbing in for Maddie because he rides in the wagon to the park, he gets his own swing and yes, nake even gets to slide down the slide first. Nake is often accompanied by “butterby” or a butterfly finger puppet that is also a happy meal toy. Butterby is pretty content just to be in the sheer presence of nake and Meredith because as she is often along for the ride, she stays in the wagon and doesn’t get to swing or slide. She’s alright with that though.
