Meredith’s vocabulary has really taken another leap and she is overall clearer in what she says and most of the time is using full sentences. Not bad for being 2 years old I think.
Frank was out of town for a conference in Chicago. On Meredith’s first try Chicago sounded like Sh-taco. It was cute. I was telling people that Meredith says Frank is in Sh-taco. During one of these conversations Meredith says to me, “No, Mommy. It’s not Sh-taco, it’s Chi-ca-go!”
Lately she has been pronouncing the word “outside” more like “out-sky-ed”. When she does this I try to help her correct it. I have her repeat out, side, out, side, out, side, outside. She will say out, side, out, side, out, side, outside, out-sky-ed and then laughs. People, she knows how to say it correctly but is choosing to say it incorrectly because she thinks it is funny. That is why I love her.
