Hold You

Meredith’s vocabulary has really been progressing lately and she has been using complete sentences more often. She still refers to herself in third person, which reminds me of that Seinfeld episode (George is getting angry!). It’s funny to see the connections her brain makes. Lately she has been saying “hold you” when she wants to be held. “Meredith hold you Mommy.” She also ask to “hold you” to other children her age- some that we know and others that just happen to be passing by.

Meredith has also been enamored by story time at the library. Our library system has a wonderful, free story time that is age specific. They read stories, put up a story on the felt board and sing songs. Meredith loves the beginning and ending songs that are the same each week- Finger Popping Swing and Milkshake- and sings them all week long. The time ends with a hand stamp which inevitably turns into a hand/face/arm/shirt stamp when you put wet ink on a squiggly toddler.

This weekend we are celebrating Meredith’s 2nd Birthday. I can’t believe she will be 2!

Also, Congratulations to Deanna, Ben and Bryce on the birth of Lauren!
