Guess who's back? Back again? Frank is back! Tell a friend.

You are probably wondering why you haven’t heard much about Frank in the blog yet. It really isn’t intentional, but part of the reason is it is softball season and that means he is gone 3 nights per week. Softball season has now ended! Hooray! The other part is I’m home with Meredith 2 days per week, so I get more of the day to day stuff and we have the chance to do more outings on the days I’m with her during the week.

This past weekend the 3 of us journeyed to the zoo again. We have a membership, so we are trying to make the most of it. The membership is great because we don’t feel pressured to do it all and can leave when Meredith is hitting the wall. This weekend was Teddy Bear Safari, where kids can bring their teddy bears in to be examined, get band aids, look in an ambulance etc. Too bad we forgot it was Teddy Bear Safari, which meant we were teddy bear less and the zoo was busy. Luckily Meredith didn’t notice.

We also went to the park. Meredith much prefers to go to the park with Daddy if he is around. He probably swings her higher than Mommy does.

Meredith also offered to catch Daddy on the slide.

Today was a pretty quiet day for the 2 of us at home. Meredith behaved very well and was rewarded with a milkshake this evening. That counts as a serving of dairy, right? Today she also had her first pedicure! It wasn’t planned, but while she napped I had painted my toenails a fairly bright and shiny pink color and Meredith woke up, noticed, loved it and requested the same. So I thought I would indulge her in a little spa treatment. Here are the final results. It was hard to get her to sit still. I am sure some that has rubbed off of her little toes is now on our carpet somewhere.

I personally am heading back to my roots. I decided to go darker with the hair color this time. I feel like it is more of my natural color, but it is actually a shade darker I think. I like it so far.

In other news, Congratulations to our friends Maresa and Casey and big brother Liam on the birth of Grayson Wallace this past Saturday, August 18!!
